Good beer.
Good friends.
The Bitter Monk is McMinnville’s neighborhood craft beer bar on Third Street, pouring a rotating mix of local and global craft beers.
who
we are
Opened in 2014, The Bitter Monk has always been about community coming together around beer. Locals and visitors alike all congregate in our cozy bar to relax and make new friends while sipping on some of the best beers and ciders in the world. Our small but mighty crew of beer-lovers is ready and waiting to pour you a pint!
Hi, I’m Becky! I joined The Bitter Monk as the manager in 2016 before taking over ownership in 2025. I’m passionate about beer, people, and our local community. My focus is on serving the best possible beers in the most welcoming atmosphere.
on tap
Our taps are always rotating and fresh. The lineup changes constantly, with a mix of local favorites, old school classics, and international beers you won’t find anywhere else in town. Come try something new!
bottle shop
Our coolers are packed with an ever-changing mix of bottles and cans from all over: Belgian, Japanese, German, the best American breweries, and of course plenty of our favorite Oregon beers. If you’re looking for more than just the usual IPAs and lite beers, this is the place! Pilsners and Pale Ales, Stouts and Sours, Smoked Beers and Saisons, we’ve got you covered.
what about food?
We don’t have a kitchen, but we’ve got you covered. Grab something from the cheese fridge stocked by Mack & Cheese, scan the QR code to order a pizza for pickup from local favorite Pizza Capo, or bring in your favorite snacks from Harvest Fresh across the street.
events & happenings
We like to keep things lively around here. From the annual UFO Festival to our own Wonderland Brew Fest, there’s always something happening on Third Street.
